Bliss… total… absolute…hands down nirvana. This woman has got magic in her fingertips. The process

of winding down and starting to relax began immediately upon entering the Spa. The atmosphere lends

itself to de-stressing- using bamboo, waterfalls, soft music and more to set the mood.

Upon arrival, I was given a cotton waffle robe to change into and a pair of cool flip flops. The robe

was one of the softest I have ever had on, I did not want to give it back.

Connie’s room is soft music, soft lighting, soft atmosphere, soft heated sheets. The beginning of bliss.

I just had no idea how much bliss.

The facial started with three deep breaths, a process of letting go. Connie began with a sweeping

motion on my face, a technique all her own. As her magic potions were applied to my face, she massaged

my face, my arms, hands and upper chest.   I’m toast at this point.

As the facial process progressed, she used her secret potions and the Intraceutical Oxygen Infusion

Treatment, something that deserves an entry of its own. After completely hydrating my skin, the 60

minute facial ended with a scalp and neck massage and once again three deep breaths inhaling another

potion that smelled like something faintly reminiscent of eucalyptus. It was her own making. I stayed

on her table for a bit, bringing myself back to the present.

We are all under stress and maybe because I write about it, I seem to think I’m exempt. NOT!!!! I realized

how stressed I really am as I started to relax. Connie Virani has found her calling and I for one am

 ecstatic that she has.

Her technique is above reproach. The Intraceutical’s left my skin soft, supple, hydrated, healthy with

lasting effects. Wellness is a necessity, not a luxury.  972-312-8189

With a nod to the upcoming Spa Week, I will be writing about services that this Wellness Spa provides…

from a personal standpoint.  Tuesday, March 30th I will be turning over my face to Connie Virani,

who as reputation has it, is hands down the best esthician in the Dallas area. As I get the treatments, I will

take notes and will report the experience back to you, the readers. So, until then, have a nice weekend,

eat fresh and be good to yourselves.

With all of the changes taking place in our world and in our lives,  stress takes on a language of its own

as it  manifests  itself.  The emotional aspects of stress is just one part, but that is the one that

catipultes physical symptoms and negative  behavior patterns.

Feelings of anxiety, constant worrying, anger, sadness, depression, irritability and general restlessness

are symptoms of high stress levels. These symptoms manifest themselves by way of headaches, back

pains, tightening of the chest, heart palpitations and disease. Also skyrocketing blood pressure, stomach

ailments and loss of sleep. I don’t know about you but when I see people, including myself , starting to

lose sleep, things can get out of control pretty quick.

The crying jags start, when we over or under eat, start smoking, increase alcohol intake, see

an increase in drug abuse and then it hits our relationships.

That’s when you call time out and say enough is enough.

The road to wellness begins with balance .  There are many different aspects of health that when kept on

an even keel, result in great physical and emotional well being. The other parts of the health equation

include the intellectual, the social, the environmental, the occupational and the spiritual. The sum of

all these parts is a healthier and happier individual.

The benefits of wellness are endless. When people feel good it shows in every aspect of  life starting with

being happier, enjoying a renewed sense of health and well being, having more energy, brighter eyes

and smile, more productivity in the workplace, fewer instances of not feeling well, and the list goes on

and on.

Stress is the number one buzzword of today. The economic climate has taken its toll on everyone,

making better health  a neccessity, not a luxury. Stress leads to a myriad of physical and emotional

problems and seems to gather speed from there. And that my friends is where Willow Bend Wellness

Spa comes in.

Hands down, this wellness center is a feast for your senses. From waterfalls and bamboo, to muted colors, calming music and plush surroundings, I felt the stress begin to lift itself from my shoulders upon walking through the doors. This is a center that lends itself to everyone, in the name of health and wellness. The services are endless and feed your soul from the inside out.

As a Nail Specialist I have come across clients who had a fungus infection underneath the Nail Bed. Many clients don’t know what a nail fungus infection is or what causes it. There are a number of different types of fungus that can cause a fungal toenail. Nail Infections can effect the Nail Bed (Nail Plate) which is raised above the surface, greenish underneith the nails or in between the toes. This may cause discoloration & swelling. What usually causes this can be a number of different things from not disinfecting the utensils to trimming the cuticles instead of pushing back & buffing away the cuticles. One of the major causes of infections underneath the Nails is the pipe & jets water massage system Pedicure Seats which can harbour potentially harmful bacteria, oil & other debris if not properly cleaned.

Pipeless European Touch

At the spa at willow Bend we use Pipe-free Pedicure seats which will prevent our clients from getting any infections. State of the Art European Touch circulates water up through a contoured footplate in the Tub not like the typical pedicure chair that have Jets. Often Jets are more difficult to clean because of the Bacteria that may remain in the pipes. I often advice my clients of this Crystal Clean pipeless technology, also to treat the nail & prevent any infections by cleaning underneath the Nail regularly. By keeping the toe nail short, filing them straight & by using Tea Tree Oils which is a natural antifungal.

ohhhh How we Love the Pipeless Pedicure Chairs!!!!!!!!!!!
