Best candidates are in good health with excellent health habits and typically take good care of their skin. Patients whom had major weight loss are also great candidates for these treatments.  The Accent XL is also great for those who do work out and have a problem area in need sculpting or contouring. Treatment is ideal to improve the thin, delicate skin on the face, neck and upper arms. Many patients also seek treatment for post-surgical, thighs, buttocks or breast areas.  Accent XL has proven safe and effective for these areas too.

Who is not a candidate for Accent XL?
Men and women who are diabetic, taking photosensitizing drugs, or who use pacemakers are not good candidates for Accent XL procedures. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not undergo Accent XL.

What is the post-treatment care for Accent XL Body Reshaping & Tightening?
Many patients comment on how the Accent XL treatment feel like a warm stone massage.  Slight redness and warmth is normal and will disappear in less than 24 hours after the treatment. We recommend you drink at 8-10 cups of water a day for three days following the treatment. Patients are able to go back to work or home right after the treatment.  It is recommended to avoid heavy exercise, saunas, and hot baths for about 3 days following the treatment.

When do you start to see results from the Accent XL?
Results can be seen as soon as one to two treatments.  Major improvements are seen after 6-8 sessions. Skin Tightening and body contouring continues for up to 6 months after treatment series concludes. The Accent XL treatment continues to stimulate collagen remodeling even after the heat therapy is finished.

Is Accent XL covered by insurance?
Because the Accent XL is considered a cosmetic procedure, it is not covered by major medical insurance companies.

What is the cost of Accent XL?
Depending upon the area being treated, the cost of Accent XL treatment usually ranges from $300 to $500 per treatment.

What alternatives are there?
Creams and Lotions – Can be used at home, but usually only provide a slight benefit and must be used continuously to maintain results.

Once I see results, do I need to come back?
Often we can reverse the appearance of aging but we can’t stop the aging process! Depending on the area treated, your lifestyle following treatment, results can last several months or longer. Your skin will continue to improve for six months following your last treatment. We recommend you to come back for a touch up, if you ever feel you need one.
